Atypical myopathy is a severe rhabdomyolysis caused by ingestion of seeds containing hypoglycin A. This study confirms that atypical myopathy occurs in Denmark. The study is part of the clinical validation of the aTRAQ assay that measures hypoglycin A. Hypoglycin A levels, clinical severity, and mortality were lower compared to existing literature.
