Pb2 +-specific DNAzyme and G-quadruplex DNAzyme sensors for the detection of Pb2 + are reviewed. Development and applications of fluorescent, colorimetric and electrochemical sensors are discussed in this paper. Advantages and disadvantages of different kinds of DNAzyme sensors are compared, giving prospects of the future development.
