Transcriptional, physiological and cytological analysis validated the roles of some key genes linked Cd stress in Salix matsudana Koidz

S. matsudana has a comparatively high Cd-accumulating and transporting capacity. The majority of Cd in root of S. matsudana was accumulated in the cell wall. 342 and 583 genes were up- and down-regulated respectively in S. matsudana roots. The roles of some key genes linked Cd stress were validated.
