This review concentrated on gastric cancer, which is of high incidence and cancer-related death in East Asia and China. This review focused on diagnosis of gastric cancer, especially taking the special traits of gastric cancer in to account. In this review, we summarized the applications of nanoparticles in diagnosis or theranostics of gastric cancer. We reviewed the applications of nanoparticles in early diagnosis, systemic and locoregional imaging, theranostics, as well as CTC capture.
