Role of distributed/discrete solar heaters for the entropy generation studies in the square and triangular cavities during natural convection

Discrete solar heating methodologies are analyzed via entropy generation minimization. Natural convection in discretely heated square and triangular enclosures is examined. Effect of various positioning of solar heaters on entropy generation is analyzed. Efficient heating strategy is based on the optimal positioning of solar heaters. The case 3 (heaters placed centrally) heating strategy in any cavity is energy efficient.
