Castor is an oilseed crop with wide industrial application. A total of 27 inbreds were screened for phenotypic and molecular diversity. Out of 13, 11 characters displayed high heritability (>67%). Manhattan distance grouped all the varieties into five clusters. Simple sequence repeat marker based grouping generated four distinct groups. Low correlation between the morphological and molecular matrix.
