GNPs had nucleating effect in PLA, increasing the crystallinity of 29.6% for PLA to 42% for 15 wt% GNP/PLA nanocomposite.

Electrical permittivity and conductivity of PLA enhanced significantly with addition of GNPs.

Percolated network of GNPs in PLA formed in the vicinity of 7 wt%.

An effective electromagnetic radiation absorbance of 80% was obtained for 15 wt% GNP/PLA nanocomposite.
