Stephalagine was identified and isolated from the peel of Annona crassiflora fruit. The stephalagine showed high pancreatic lipase inhibitory activity. The stephalagine showed low cytotoxicity in Vero cells. This is the first report of the isolation of stephalagine in Annonaceae family.
