The acute effect of intravenous lipopolysaccharide injection on serum and intrafollicular HDL components and gene expression in granulosa cells of the bovine dominant follicle
An intravenous LPS challenge induces an acute inflammatory response; LPS reduced expression of STAR, TLR4 and TNF mRNA in the dominant follicle granulosa cells; LPS reduced serum and intrafollicular PON1 activity; LPS reduced serum but not intrafollicular HDL-cholesterol concentrations.
