We constructed two spleen cDNA libraries of grass carp in one year and three years of age, respectively. We first obtained transcriptome profiling of developing spleen tissue in grass carp. We identified 48,970 unigenes and 1,782DEGs related to the spleen development. We proved the immune function of spleen has been perfected before three-year-age. We discovered the main components of six immune pathways in the spleen of grass carp.
