Ag nanoparticles cladded with parylene for high-stability microfluidic surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) biochemical sensing

The reusable microfluidic-integrated devices based on the Ag nanoparticles cladded with parylene was manufactured. Parylene Shell with a uniform and highly controlled thickness was manufactured. Ag nanoparticles cladded with parylene C exhibited excellent Raman enhancement effect comparing with the initial substrate. The parylene cladding film increased the repulsive to the molecular probes, enabling hundreds of measurement cycles and greatly increasing the stability and reproducibility.
