Large-scale graphene production by ultrasound-assisted exfoliation of natural graphite in supercritical CO2/H2O medium

High pressure ultrasound and supercritical CO2 were combined to exfoliate graphene.

Graphene was produced by using only natural graphite, CO2, H2O and ethanol.

Production process takes only a few hours.

Graphene yield was more than 50%, with 93% of products being ⩽3 layers.

The quality and concentration of as-prepared graphene suspensions were high.
