Sexually dimorphic deficits of prepulse inhibition in patients with major depressive disorder and their relationship to symptoms: A large single ethnicity study
Male patients with MDD showed significantly lower PPI than male comparisons. HAM-D total and subscales were negatively correlated with PPI in male patients. PPI in remitted patients was not significantly different from comparisons. PPI deficits and relationship to symptoms were not observed in female patients. The effect of antidepressant medication on PPI was not significant.
