An universal correlation among the structural parameters and the electronic structure using first principles theory. Structural transition in Fe-based materials is electronic in origin, due to orbital ordering. A quantitative correlations between the orbital order and orthorhombicity is achieved in 122 family of Fe-based SCs using experimentally determined doping and temperature dependent structural parameters.
