Composites are processed into stratified porous scaffolds for articular cartilage repair.

Scaffolds are crosslinked using selected crosslinker under optimized conditions.

Wet-state compressive strength of scaffolds is comparative to that of cartilage matrix.

Gradient-varied compressive modulus and swelling index for scaffolds are achieved.
