Aggf1 expression is up-regulated in the liver in mice with steatosis. Aggf1 over-expression promotes while Aggf1 depletion attenuates steatosis in mice. Aggf1 regulates insulin sensitivity in vitro and in vivo. Aggf1 up-regulates expression of genes involved in gluconeogenesis.
