The development of Late Ordovician (Hirnantian) brachiopods (Kosov Province) are documented from Latvia during one the five “big” extinctions.
These key faunas together with their relationship to stable isotope curves help map extinctions and migrations in the region.
Critical is the difference between the faunas in carbonate and siliciclastic sedimentary facies.
