Fe/AC-activated persulfate oxidation could fast degrade 2,4-DNT in groundwater. Effects of some critical parameters on degradation efficiency were evaluated. Activated carbon promoted micron-iron to generate Fe2+, which activated PP. Possible mechanisms of persulfate activation by Fe/AC were discussed.
