Helium and carbon isotopes in the hot springs of Changbaishan Volcano, northeastern China: A material connection between Changbaishan Volcano and the west Pacific plate?
Two sources of volcanic gases have been identified at Changbaishan volcano, China. The mantle fluids may be derived from the asthenospheric materials. The slab-derived fluids are associated with the ancient subducted plate. There is no material connection between Changbaishan volcano and the Pacific plate.
