PTTH-stimulated 4E-BP phosphorylation appears to be Ca2+- and PLC-dependent. A23187 and thapsigargin inhibit AMPK phosphorylation and increase 4E-BP phosphorylation. Ca2+ signaling, AMPK, and 4E-BP phosphorylation appear to be interconnected.
