Quality of seabed type and bathymetry retrievals depends on the inversion scheme. Relaxed seabed constraint lowers the dispersion of bathymetry estimation error. Cost functions based on spectral shape enhance bathymetry estimation. Spectral derivative is of high interest for seabed type mapping at low depths. Spectral angle mapper is inefficient for seabed type mapping from ~ 5 m depth.
