Genotoxic potential of PTS intended to use in active packaging. PTS was not mutagenic neither in the Ames test nor in MLA. PTS induces MN on mammalian cells (L5178Y Tk+/-cells) at the highest concentration tested, in presence or absence of S9. PTS induced DNA breaks damage in Caco-2 cells at the highest concentration tested but it did not induce oxidative DNA damage.
