We examined maturation and morphology changes in PKD2L1+ medullo-spinal CSF-cNs in mice. With aging CSF-cNs density decreased and intra-ependymal neurons were only found in p0 mice. CSF-cNs in newborn mice expressed doublecortin, PSA-NCAM and phospho-CREB but not TUC4. CSF-cNs in adults had a low expression level for NeuN but still express immaturity markers. Altogether, it appears the CSF-cNs present a peculiar phenotype with a low maturation state.
