It was established experimentally that an inclusion into a construction of an impact tool (a perforator), between the piston and the shank, of an intermediate body of small mass (a striker) results in intensification of drilling due to generation of high-frequency vibrations – “chatter” (tinkling sound). Field and laboratory tests confirmed an increase in the rate of the rock destruction by 30 - 50% when a perforator is equipped with a vibro-impact system “piston-striker-shank” (dual shock system). The article deals with the dynamic model of the modified perforator for drilling. Analytical and numerical methods of mechanics were used to create the numerical algorithm describing dynamic processes in the system. It has been shown that the addition of an intermediate low-mass body (striker) with a certain correlation of the system parameters leads to an increase in drilling efficiency.
