Sclareol ameliorate lipopolysaccharide-induced acute lung injury through inhibition of MAPK and induction of HO-1 signaling

Sclareol attenuated lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced acute lung injury in mice. Sclareol was associated with the modulation of iNOS and COX-2 signaling in lung injury tissue. Sclareol inhibited the degradation of NF-κB, IκBα, and the phosphorylation of MAPKs. Sclareol increased heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) expressions in the lung tissue.
