MD and MCr were utilized for treatment of industrial wastewater containing high amounts of Na2SO4.
Both untreated and nanofiltered solutions were concentrated via the MD/MCr processes.
The untreated wastewater indicated the steadiest performance.
No reduction in flux or wetting of the membrane surface was observed.
Crystalline product of Na2SO4 was recovered as Thenardite.
Crystals exhibit narrow size distribution and low incorporation of impurities.
