The ability of the Hybrid-coated PL surface to “breathe” was assessed by experimental tests. An Intermingled Fractal Units’ (IFU) model was applied to predict the influence of coatings on water vapour permeability. IFU has full potentiality to become a work tool (software) for estimating weathering state and service life of porous building media.
