New promising anthraquinone drugs were synthesized and confirmed. Structure and reactivity descriptors of AQ5, AQ5H and 1,5-DAAQ were investigated. Anthraquinone/DNA interactions were investigated using NMR. Affinity constant of intercalator/DNA complexes was spectrophotometrically measured.
