Older patients’ use of technology for a post-discharge nutritional intervention - A mixed-methods feasibility study

Old and frail patients without it-experience were motivated and capable of using technology, and relatives were co-users. Acceptability of the solution was good, but the immaturity of the in-home version constituted a challenge. Increased appetite, intake and energy was reported; and better muscle strength, depression scores and quality of life indicated. Exhaustion and the nature of the intervention represented a challenge to inclusion and retention of participants.
