Intramuscular fat was quantified separately in quadriceps and hamstrings muscles. Lean muscle, rather than fat, is related to muscle power in knee osteoarthritis. Intramuscular and intermuscular fat were not related to muscle strength or power. Neither thigh lean muscle nor fat were related to physical performance.
