Genesis and evolution of regoliths: Evidence from trace and major elements and Sr-Nd-Pb-U isotopes

We present a powerful approach to study polycyclic regolith systems evolution. Atmospheric deposition contributed 50% of Sr-Nd-Pb abundance in the upper regolith. Chamosite, Nb and TiO2 prove the impact of volcanic tephra in the upper regolith. 87Sr/86Sr and 143Nd/144Nd allow us to genetically link the regolith compartments. 234U/238U and REE reflect water table fluctuation impact on regolith weathering.
