Gold on carbon and TiO2 composites are generated by photocatalysis approach in preparing Au/C-TiO2-am and Au-Pd/C-TiO2-am. Au/C-TiO2-am is stable with about 80% selectivity and 100% conversion. Au-Pd/C-TiO2-am reaches about 73% selectivity and 77% conversion at 30 °C with a H2/C2H2 ratio of 2/1.
