Laser surface melting with alternating magnetic field was applied in order to improve the properties of magnesium alloy. The microstructural changes with the simultaneous use of laser treatment and electromagnetic stirring were discussed. The wear and corrosion resistance of magnesium alloy were improved in melted layer with electromagnetic stirring.
