This review presents naturally occurring polysaccharides with anti-diabetic activities.

Polysaccharides alleviate β-cell dysfunction through antiinflammatory and/or antioxidative effects and increase insulin secretion.

Polysaccharides inhibit α-amylase and α-glucosidase activities and improve glucose metabolism.

Polysaccharides exhibit insulin-sensitizing potentials.
