The Mg66Zn30Gd4 amorphous were prepared by single roller melt-spinning technique. This work reports the heredity of icosahedral order and icosahedral quasicrystal. TCR provides a direct approach to distinguish crystallization kinetics. Resistivity is a more sensitive method to investigate structure evolution.
