Co-adsorption of perfluorooctane sulfonate and phosphate on boehmite: Influence of temperature, phosphate initial concentration and pH

Co-adsorption of PFOS and phosphate on boehmite was investigated. Adsorption of PFOS and phosphate follows the pseudo-second-order model. The adsorbed amounts of PFOS and phosphate decreased by increasing temperature. PFOS adsorption increased at phosphate concentration of larger than 30 mg L−1. PFOS adsorption decreased with pH increasing and phosphate adsorption changed little.
