Fe3O4/PC nanohybrids were prepared from petroleum asphalt via recycling method. PC plays important roles on the electrochemical property of Fe3O4/PC. 73-Fe3O4/PC can deliver high capacity of 785 mAh g−1 at 200 mA g−1. The work paves a way in recycling template and high-value utilization of asphalt.
