Dynamic oxygen storage modeling in a three-way catalyst for natural gas engines: A dual-site and shrinking-core diffusion approach

A dual-site dynamic OSC model was developed on a TWC catalyst. A shrinking core diffusion approach was applied to model diffusion controlled OSC. WGS reaction and CH4 SR reaction play significant roles in the amount of OSC. Reducibility on OSC decreases in the order of H2 > CO > CH4 at 250 °C < T < 450 °C. The model exhibits good predictions of dynamic OSC.
