The surface content of the catalysts depends on the composition and thermal treatment.
Migration of elements and its direction depend on the component type and pretreatment conditions.
TOF in methanol oxidation is three times higher on Au/CeZrOx than on Au/CeO2 activated at 423 K.
From all catalysts studied Au/CeZrOx is the best for low temperature total combustion of methanol.
