Transcriptomic profile of Manila clam (Ruditapes philippinarum) haemocytes in response to Perkinsus olseni infection

Manila clam haemocyte transcriptome was elucidated using RNA-seq from a diverse set of Perkinsus olseni challenges. Sequences were annotated by BLASTx and we detected 3642 DEGs (812 up- and 2830 down-regulated). DEGs were mainly related to binding and transport, signalling, proteolysis, stress and immune response. Results increase our knowledge of the genetic response of Manila clam to perkinsosis for controlling this parasitosis.
