Different flow regimes have the same precipitation kinetics without inhibitor. Precipitation kinetics is slower in turbulent flow than laminar flow with inhibitor. Highly crystalline and amorphous barite in laminar and turbulent flow respectively. Enhanced inhibitor adsorption due to larger surface area and faster mass transfer.
