Word-length series from large corpora of ten European languages are analyzed. We find multifractality with spectra classified according to language family. Small contribution of long-range correlations to multifractality is detected. A crossover from clustering to anti-clustering of long content words is observed. The crossover explains the footprint of long-range correlations on multifractality.
