The co-feature ratio (CFR) is introduced. CFR measures chromatographic and signal selectivity of a feature. CFR can be used for evaluating experimental procedures in metabolomics. CFR can aid in locating features with poor selectivity. No predefined knowledge about metabolome composition is needed.
