We tested the antiparasitic effectiveness of levamisole, an immunostimulant substance. Fish previously fed with levamisole were forwarded for parasitological and histological analysis. Levamisole was effective in controlling the infection by R. rondoni and caused moderate histological changes in pacu liver.
