MnCo2O4/graphene was synthesized and coated on Ni Foam via a facile approach.

High density of MnCo2O4 nanoparticles of ~5–10 nm are dispersed on graphene.

The binder-free electrode delivers a capacity of 868 mAh/g after 80 cycles.

The prominent performance is associated with synergistic effects of Ni -graphene.
