Anatase TiO2 was modified with Fe-ethoxide through wet impregnation method. XPS and EPR investigation supported the formation of Vo and Fe species. Vo improved the optical absorption properties to a larger extent. Fe species inhibited the charge carrier recombination process. Synergism between Vo and Fe species enhanced the photocatalytic activity.
