UVI3003 is a RXRs antagonist and shows teratogenicity to Xenopus embryos. UVI3003 activated xPPARγ either in Cos7 cells or Xenopus embryos. UVI3003 did not activate human or mouse PPARγ in Cos7 cells. Activating PPARγ leads to teratogenic effects in Xenopus embryos.
