Overweight/obese subjects has been proposed as susceptible population for PM related effects. DNA methylation is a key molecular mechanisms linking PM exposure to systemic pro-inflammatory effects PM10 exposure resulted associated to DNA methylation of inflammatory genes in a population of obese patients. The relationship between PM10 and DNA methylation of inflammation pathway-genes was confirmed in obese subjects.
