The CuO-NP-AC was used for ultrasound-assisted adsorption of Pb2+ ions and MG dye.
The adsorption was assisted by ultrasound and performed at pH 6.0.
The data were modeled by Response surface methodology and artificial neural network.
The optimal removal efficiencies for Pb2+ ions and MG dye were obtained to be 98%.
The experimental data followed the Langmuir and pseudo second-order models.
