In-situ imaging of phase transition and creep during redox cycling of NiO-YSZ. Phase transition observed by means of neutron imaging using monochromatic radiation. Accelerated creep of NiO-YSZ takes place both during reduction and oxidation. Demonstration of correlation between creep rate and reduction and oxidation rates. Stress applied during redox cycles significantly affects microstructure.
